HOW IT WORKS

Salt is primarily used by the fishing fleet to make a refrigerated brine solution to freeze the tuna while out at sea. Under ambient conditions, water will freeze at 32°F (0°C). However, once salt is added to the solution, the freezing point of water will decrease. By lowering the freezing point of the water, our salt allows vessels to safely store their catch in sub-zero brines.
